The News

Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007

After looking at my Tivo I realize that I have watched the wrong ‘SVU’. Instead of seeing the new episode on NBC I was duped into watching a rerun on USA. nup_105887_0201.jpg Never trust anyone else to set the timer for you. You know who you are so I won’t say your name here this time. So I’m sorry about the mistake ,and I won’t let it happen again. In other news starting tomorrow I will start to cover a newcomer to the crime drama genre. The new show is on NBC ,and it’s called ‘Life’. nup_105436_0173.jpg All the critics are giving this show rave reviews. The little part of the premiere episode that I got to see this show looks phenomenal. The premise of the show is that a cop is wrongly convicted in a triple homicide. He serves twelve years in prison before his case is overturned. He receives millions in a settlement with the city and rejoins the police force. All of the years in prison have changed his perceptions of things. From what I saw it gives him an edge in solving cases. This show seems to be the sleeper hit of this season. nup_105494_0765.jpg I think that this show brings a fresh take on the crime drama, and I’m happy to get to cover this. Check out my excellent coverage of the rerun ‘The Kiddie Killer‘.

Tonight is the night

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

Tonight is the premiere of season 9 of ‘law and order SVU’. I’m very excited to see what’s in store for us. For a while season 9 seemed to be in doubt when Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay entered into negotiations for more money. All the disputes have been settled. Now the ninth season promises to be more exciting than ever before. With strong story telling, the already superb cast, and tons of new guest appearances this season I’m prepared to be in awe. I have always thought that the formula of ‘SVU’ and ‘CI’ was a successful one. Keep your eyes here for the episode recap as well as information on upcoming episodes as well. In other ‘law and order’ news ‘CI’ returns on October 4 with their new season. Actress Julianne Nicholson will be on maternity leave as the season starts. It is going to be interesting to see how they write Detective Wheeler’s temporary departure from the show.julainnenicholson.jpg Her temporary replacement will be the accomplished actress Alicia Witt as Detective Nola Falacci.alicia-witts.jpg Her acting credits include the films ‘Two Weeks Notice’ and ‘The Upside Of Anger’. Make sure to check out my other latest posts Brushing Up and Coming Monday.

An Introduction

Friday, July 13th, 2007

I realized after posting recently, that I never introduced myself! My name is Alice; I am a first year college student from New Hampshire. I am an avid fan of Law and Order and the Closer, although I pretty regularly watch CSI, and most other TNT crime drama. I will be posting regularly from now on, so please visit often!

UPDATE

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

I just want to apologize for the lack of updates recently. I’ve been sick with some mysterious illness (two trips to the university health center and two rounds of antibiotics and they STILL have no clue what the hell I had) for about three weeks and to top it all off, this week is finals/moving out week at my school. So that’s my excused absence.

Your regular posts will resume next week. I’ll be covering The Closer for sure, but I’m not decided on what else I’ll be covering during the summer.

Criminal Minds Schedule Changes

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

I went looking on the premiere Criminal Minds blog, Criminal Minds Fanatic (who admittedly have WAY more connections than little ol’ me) and found that “Doubt” will not air until next season.

That means we only have TWO episodes left of the season. “Legacy” and “The Evolution of Frank”, or as someone called it, “No Way Out Part II”.

Criminal Minds Schedule Changes

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007

Tonight’s Criminal Minds is actually going to be a repeat of “Jones”. But next week is going to be “Doubt”, which was originally going to be replaced tonight by “Open Season”. Guess who’s ba~ack….

Criminal Minds Schedule Changes

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Due to the Virginia Tech massacre, next week’s Criminal Minds episode will be “Open Season” instead of “Doubt”. The change is due to the material of “Doubt”, which is about women being murdered on a midwestern college campus.

I’ll keep you updated with any other changes as they occur.

A Sad Day

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Pretty much everyone’s heard of the Virginia Tech tradgedy by now. I don’t go to Virginia Tech, but I am a freshman college student. It’s a sad and somewhat uncertain time for those of us in college or who have friends in college. I don’t know if anyone I knew was killed or injured.

The loss of those killed weighs heavily on our hearts and our minds. So for today and possibly tomorrow, there will be no posts other than this.

Thanks for understanding,
Lindsay Stetler
